Barbour Titles Named to ECPA Best of 2009 List
Uhrichsville, OH—Barbour Publishing is pleased to announce that two of its titles were named to the Top 50 Bestselling Books of 2009 by the Evangelical Christian Publishers Association. Oswald Chambers’ My Utmost for His Highest was number 28 on the list. A Cousin’s Promise, book one in the Indiana Cousins series by bestselling Amish fiction author Wanda E. Brunstetter, was at number 39.
For decades, My Utmost for His Highest by Oswald Chambers has challenged untold numbers of Christians around the world. Chambers was converted under the ministry of Charles Spurgeon. His numerous books were compiled by his wife, who copied the sermons he preached.
In Brunstetter’s A Cousin’s Promise, a tragic accident and an old beau complicate the lives of two young people in Indiana’s Amish country. Wanda E. Brunstetter is nationally recognized as an expert on the Amish community, and her book sales have topped the four million mark. She enjoys an uncommon kinship with the Amish and loves to visit their communities throughout the country. Besides topping several bestseller charts, her books have received other honors, including the 2006 Reader’s Choice Award and the CBD Book of the Week.
